ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ, ਸੀ ਐੱਮ ਦੀ ਯੋਗਸ਼ਾਲਾ ਤਹਿਤ, ਨਸ਼ਾ ਛੁਡਾਊ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਯੋਗਾ ਕਲਾਸਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਲਿਆਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਯੋਗ ਇੰਸਟ੍ਰਕਟਰਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਯਾਮ, ਯੋਗ ਨਿਦ੍ਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਛੁਡਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਾਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਬਲਕਿ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਵੀ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਊਰਜਾਵਾਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਇੱਕ ਮਰੀਜ਼, ਜੋ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦੋ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਸੈਕਟਰ 66 ਦੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ -"ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨੀਂਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਬੇਚੈਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਯੋਗਾ ਕਲਾਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਿਦ੍ਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੁਲੋਮ-ਵਿਲੋਮ ਕਰਨਾ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਆਉਣੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।"
ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਮਰੀਜ਼, ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ -"ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਮੇਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਯੋਗਾ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ, ਮੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਊਰਜਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਥਕਾਵਟ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।"
ਯੋਗਾ ਇੰਸਟ੍ਰਕਟਰ ਪੁਲਕਿਤ ਤਨੇਜਾ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਛੱਡਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਰੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੱਛਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਚਿੜਚਿੜਾਪਨ, ਇਨਸੌਮਨੀਆ, ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰੀ, ਥਕਾਵਟ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ।
"ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ, ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਯਾਮ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਅਨੁਲੋਮ-ਵਿਲੋਮ, ਭ੍ਰਾਮਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾੜੀ ਸ਼ੁੱਧੀ ਸਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤੁਲਿਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਿਦ੍ਰਾ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਆਰਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਪੁਨਰ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਜ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।"
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤਾੜ ਆਸਣ, ਪਵਨਮੁਕਤ ਆਸਣ , ਵਜਰ ਆਸਣ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਵ ਆਸਣ ਵਰਗੇ ਸੂਖਮ ਅਭਿਆਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਸਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਯਮਤ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਚਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਠੋਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਠੋਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਯੋਗਾ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਮਾ ਡਾਵਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੀ ਐਮ ਦੀ ਯੋਗਸ਼ਾਲਾ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਯੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਇਲਾਜ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਰੀਰਕ, ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਵਨਾਤਮਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਅਤੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਛੁਡਾਊ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਬਣ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯੋਗਾ ਇੱਕ ਦਵਾਈ ਵਾਂਗ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਹੈ, ਸਰੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਾਉਣਾ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ।

* 100 ਬਿਸਤਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ, ਮੁੜ ਵਸੇਬੇ ਲਈ ਹੁਨਰ ਕੋਰਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ, ਸੀ ਐਮ ਦੀ ਯੋਗਸ਼ਾਲਾ, ਨਸ਼ਾ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਲਾਜ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਨਮਾਨਜਨਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਜਿਊਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇਗੀ
* ਨਸ਼ਾ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੋਰਸ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਚ ਸਾਥ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਐਮ ਪੀ ਵਿਕਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਨ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ
* ਨਸ਼ਾ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੇ ਬਿਸਤਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ 1500 ਤੋਂ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ 5000 ਕੀਤੀ
* ਓ ਓ ਏ ਟੀ (ਹੁਣ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਵਾਈ ਕੇਂਦਰ) ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ 565 ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ

ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ 'ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ' ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਨਵਾਂ ਰਾਹ ਦਸੇਰਾ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਅੱਜ ਸੈਕਟਰ 66 ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ, ਅੱਪਗ੍ਰੇਡ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਨੀਕਰਨ ਕੀਤੇ "ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ" ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਸਤਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ 100 ਤੱਕ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਨ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੋਰਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਬਿਸਤਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ 200 ਤੱਕ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਸਿਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਭਲਾਈ ਮੰਤਰੀ, ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਰਾਜ ਸਭਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਨ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਰਪ੍ਰਸਤ, ਵਿਕਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਐਸ ਏ ਐਸ ਨਗਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ, ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਨਵੀਨੀਕਰਨ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ 'ਆਪ' ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਕਨਵੀਨਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਕੇਜਰੀਵਾਲ ਦੇ ਦੂਰਦਰਸ਼ੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਕੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ. ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਰਗ ਦਰਸ਼ਕ ਮਾਡਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਉਭਰੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਲਗਭਗ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ 'ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ' ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ, ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਫੈਸਲਾਕੁੰਨ ਜੰਗ ਛੇੜੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਖਾਂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਭੇਜ ਕੇ, ਵੱਡੀ ਮਾਤਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਢਾਹੁਣ ਵਰਗੀ ਮਿਸਾਲੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਚਲਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਚੇਨ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ 'ਤੇ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ, ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ, ਇਲਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਨਰਵਾਸ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਛੁਡਾਊ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ 1500 ਤੋਂ 5000 ਬਿਸਤਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਐਨ ਜੀ ਓਜ਼ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੜ ਵਸੇਬਾ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੋਰਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਵਿਕਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਨ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਦੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁੜ ਵਸੇਬੇ ਲਈ ਹੱਥ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ, ਸਿਹਤ ਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਭਲਾਈ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਐਨ ਜੀ ਓ ਨੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਰਕੇ, ਰਾਜ ਦੇ 19 ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਛੁਡਾਊ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਨਰਵਾਸ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਕੋਰਸਾਂ/ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਕੋਰਸ, ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਰਿਪੇਅਰ ਕੋਰਸ, ਖਾਣਾ ਪਕਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਰਸ, ਇਲੈਕਟ੍ਰੀਸ਼ੀਅਨ, ਕੋਰਸ, ਜੈਵਿਕ ਸਬਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਫਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਗਬਾਨੀ, ਮਨੋਰੰਜਨ ਕਮਰਾ, ਜਿੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡ ਖੇਤਰ ਆਦਿ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹਨ।
ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਓ.ਓ.ਏ.ਟੀ. ਸੈਂਟਰਾਂ (ਹੁਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਵਾਈ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ) ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ 565 ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੈਂਟਰਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਡ ਦਾ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਡਿਜੀਟਾਈਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਵੇਟ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਰਸਿੰਗ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ 'ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ' ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਵੇਟ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਲਈ 1200 ਸੀਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਹਾਂ-ਪੱਖੀਹੁੰਗਾਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ 5000 ਬਿਸਤਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਭਗ 2500 ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਹਨ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੈਰ-ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੰਗਠਨ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਅੱਗੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਰੰਗਲਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨਾਰਕੋ ਅੱਤਵਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰਵਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਰਾਜ ਸਭਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ, ਵਿਕਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੈਰ-ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ, ਸਨ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਜ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਲੜਾਈ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਪੀੜਤ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਣਮੱਤਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਜਿਊਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਛੁਡਾਊ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਧਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਨੀਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੋਰਸ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਕੇ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਨਵੀਨਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਰਾਜ ਸਭਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਅਪਗ੍ਰੇਡ ਕੀਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰਵਾ ਰਹੇ ਨੌਜੁਆਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਣ ਲਈ ਇਲਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਨਰਵਾਸ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸਾਰੇ ਪਤਵੰਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਕਿਚਨ ਗਾਰਡਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੌਦੇ ਵੀ ਲਗਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਬਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਫਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਗੋਦ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।

Taking another pathbreaking step as a part of its' ongoing campaign 'Yudh Nasheya Virudh', Bhagawant Singh Mann Government today launched upgraded and renovated "Nasha Mukti Kendra" (at Sector 66), Mohali with enhancing its' bed capacity to 100 besides adding skill training Courses with the help of Sun Foundation. Soon, the bed capacity will be further increased to 200 by constrcting one more floor here.
Punjab, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Dr Balbir Singh inaugurated the improved infrastructure in the presnce of Member Rajya Sabha and patron of Sun Foundation, Vikramjit Singh Sahney and MLA SAS Nagar, Kulwant Singh.
Addressing the media, Dr Balbir Singh said that with the visionary approach of AAP National Convener, Arvind Kejriwal and under the leadership of Chief Minister, Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab will soon emerge as a path breaker Model across the world in fight against drugs. He said that drug abuse is the common problem of the world and every one striving hard to get rid from it to protect their citizens. He said that starting with the strong enforcement campaign 'Yudh Nasheya Virudh', about a month ago, the Bhagwant Singh Mann Government has waged a war against the drug smugglers by sending behind bars , recovering huge quantity of contrabands besides examplry demolition drive, which has a direct impact to end the supply chain. Now, to protect the youth got addicted to the drugs in the state, the treatment and rehabilitation part is being strengthened. Punjab has enhanced existing 1500 to 5000 beds in de-addiction centres with addition of skill training Courses at rehabilitation centres with the help of various NGOs.
Applauding the efforts of Sun Foundation led by MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney for extending hand to rehabilitate the addicted youths by imparting skill training, he said that this NGO has given consent to set up these skill training centres at 19 Government De-addiction and Rehabilitation Centres of State starting from Amritsar, Jalandhar and today Mohali. Listing the courses/activities started at Nasha Mukti Kendra Mohali, he said that Computer Course, Mobile Repair Course, Cooking Course, Electrician, Course, Organic Vegetable & Fruit Gardening, Recreation Room, Gym and Sports Area.
Health Minister said that the number of OOAT centres (from now to be known as Nasha Mukti Dawai Kendra) has been increased to 565 and the record of disbursement of medicines through these centres has been digitised.
Dr Balbir Singh said that all the private medical colleges and nursing colleges have been asked to be the part of the campaign 'Yudh Nasheya Virudh' to make Punjab drugs free. He said that Pvt Medical Colleges have responded positively with offering 1200 seats to Government for treatment of De-addiction. He said that Punjab has about 2500 patients in de-addicted centres against the total number of 5000 beds.
He said that there are a number of Non Government Organizations who are coming forward to offer help to the state agianst the fight against drugs.
Calling for a joint fight against the drugs, Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh said that now the time has come to end the Narco Terrorism and Gangsterism to make Punjab, A Rangla Punjab.
Member, Rajya Sabha, Vikramjit Singh Sahney said that he and his NGO, Sun Foundation would always work for the welfare of youth and he thanked the State Government for giving an opportunity to be the part of historic fight against drugs by making the addicted youth of living a healthy and proud life.

All the dignitaries also planted saplings in Kitchen Garden set up in the centre for making the drug victims able to take care of the vegetable and fruit trees by adopting them personally.

भगवंत सिंह मान सरकार ने अपने चल रहे अभियान, युद्ध नशों के विरुद्ध के अहम हिस्से के रूप में एक और नया अग्रणी कदम उठाते हुए, आज मोहाली सेक्टर 66 में अपग्रेडेड और नवीनीकृत "नशा मुक्ति केंद्र" का उद्घाटन किया, जिसमें बिस्तरों की क्षमता बढ़ाकर 100 कर दी गई है तथा सन फाउंडेशन की सहायता से कौशल प्रशिक्षण पाठ्यक्रम शुरू किए गए हैं। यहां जल्द ही एक और मंजिल का निर्माण कर बिस्तर क्षमता 200 तक बढ़ा दी जाएगी।
पंजाब के स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्री डॉ. बलबीर सिंह ने राज्यसभा सदस्य और सन फाउंडेशन के संरक्षक विक्रमजीत सिंह साहनी और एसएएस नगर के विधायक कुलवंत सिंह की उपस्थिति में इस नवीनीकृत बुनियादी ढांचे का उद्घाटन किया।
मीडिया को संबोधित करते हुए डॉ. बलबीर सिंह ने कहा कि आप के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के दूरदर्शी विजन और मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत सिंह मान के नेतृत्व में पंजाब जल्द ही नशे के खिलाफ लड़ाई में दुनिया भर में एक मार्गदर्शक मॉडल के रूप में उभरेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि नशीली दवाओं का दुरुपयोग विश्व की एक आम समस्या है और हर कोई अपने नागरिकों की सुरक्षा के लिए इससे छुटकारा पाने के लिए कड़ी मेहनत कर रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि करीब एक माह पहले भगवंत सिंह मान सरकार ने नशा तस्करों के खिलाफ ‘ड्रग्स पर युद्ध’ नाम से निर्णायक जंग छेड़ी थी, जिसमें तस्करों को सलाखों के पीछे भेजना, भारी मात्रा में नशा बरामद करना तथा घरों को ध्वस्त करना जैसे अनुकरणीय अभियान चलाए गए, जिसका सीधा असर सप्लाई चेन को खत्म करने पर पड़ा है। अब राज्य में नशे की लत में फंस चुके युवाओं को बचाने के लिए उपचार एवं पुनर्वास को मजबूत किया जा रहा है। पंजाब ने नशा मुक्ति केन्द्रों में बिस्तरों की संख्या मौजूदा 1500 से बढ़ाकर 5000 कर दी है तथा विभिन्न गैर सरकारी संगठनों की सहायता से पुनर्वास केन्द्रों में कौशल प्रशिक्षण पाठ्यक्रम शुरू किए गए हैं।
सांसद विक्रमजीत सिंह साहनी के नेतृत्व वाली सन फाउंडेशन द्वारा कौशल प्रशिक्षण प्रदान करके नशे की लत में फंसे युवाओं के पुनर्वास में हाथ बढ़ाने के प्रयासों की सराहना करते हुए स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्री ने कहा कि इस एनजीओ ने राज्य के 19 सरकारी नशा मुक्ति और पुनर्वास केंद्रों में ये कौशल प्रशिक्षण केंद्र स्थापित करने पर सहमति व्यक्त की है, जिसकी शुरुआत अमृतसर, जालंधर और आज मोहाली से हुई है। नशा मुक्ति केंद्र मोहाली में शुरू किए गए कोर्स/गतिविधियों की सूची देते हुए उन्होंने बताया कि कंप्यूटर कोर्स, मोबाइल रिपेयर कोर्स, कुकिंग कोर्स, इलेक्ट्रीशियन कोर्स, ऑर्गेनिक सब्जी व फल बागवानी, मनोरंजन कक्ष, जिम और खेल क्षेत्र आदि इसका हिस्सा हैं।
स्वास्थ्य मंत्री ने कहा कि ओ.ओ.ए.टी. केन्द्रों (जिन्हें अब नशा मुक्ति केन्द्र कहा जाएगा) की संख्या बढ़ाकर 565 कर दी गई है और इन केन्द्रों के माध्यम से नशीली दवाओं के वितरण के रिकार्ड को डिजिटल कर दिया गया है।
डॉ. बलबीर सिंह ने कहा कि पंजाब को नशा मुक्त बनाने के लिए सभी निजी मेडिकल कॉलेजों और नर्सिंग कॉलेजों को 'युद्ध नशों के विरुद्ध' अभियान का हिस्सा बनने के लिए कहा गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि निजी मेडिकल कॉलेजों ने नशा मुक्ति उपचार के लिए 1200 सीटों की पेशकश करके सरकार को सकारात्मक प्रतिक्रिया दी है। उन्होंने कहा कि पंजाब में कुल 5000 बेडों के मुकाबले नशा मुक्त केन्द्रों में लगभग 2500 मरीज हैं।
उन्होंने कहा कि कई गैर-सरकारी संगठन नशे के खिलाफ लड़ाई में राज्य की मदद के लिए आगे आ रहे हैं।
स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ. बलबीर सिंह ने नशे के खिलाफ संयुक्त लड़ाई का आह्वान करते हुए कहा कि अब समय आ गया है कि नार्को आतंकवाद और गैंगस्टरवाद को समाप्त करके पंजाब को रंगला पंजाब बनाया जाए।
राज्यसभा सदस्य विक्रमजीत सिंह साहनी ने कहा कि वह और उनका एनजीओ सन फाउंडेशन सदैव युवाओं के कल्याण के लिए काम करते रहेंगे। उन्होंने राज्य सरकार का नशीले पदार्थों के खिलाफ ऐतिहासिक लड़ाई का हिस्सा बनने का अवसर देने के लिए धन्यवाद दिया, जिससे प्रभावित युवाओं को स्वस्थ और सम्मानजनक जीवन जीने का मौका मिलेगा।
विधायक कुलवंत सिंह ने इन सुधारों और नवीनीकरणों के लिए मोहाली के नशा मुक्ति केंद्र का चयन करने के लिए स्वास्थ्य मंत्री का धन्यवाद किया, जिन्होंने यहां कौशल प्रशिक्षण पाठ्यक्रम शुरू करके बुनियादी ढांचे और अन्य नवाचार प्रदान किए हैं।
स्वास्थ्य मंत्री ने राज्यसभा सदस्य और मोहाली के विधायक के साथ नशा मुक्ति केंद्र का दौरा भी किया और वहां उपचार करा रहे युवाओं से बातचीत की। उन्होंने उन्हें जीवन में आगे बढ़ने के लिए उपचार और पुनर्वास का आश्वासन दिया। सभी गणमान्य व्यक्तियों ने केंद्र में बनाए गए किचन गार्डन में पौधे भी लगाए, ताकि उपचाराधीन लोग व्यक्तिगत रूप से सब्जी और फलों के पेड़ों को अपना सकें और उनकी देखभाल कर सकें।

*• MP Sahney announces Rs. 1-CR Boost for Drug Rehabilitation Centres
Chandigarh, May 1:
In a major push to combat drug addiction amidst the ongoing "Yudh Nasheyan Virudh" to make Punjab drug free state as per vision of AAP's National Convener Arvind Kejriwal and under able leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab Government has partnered with the “Sun Foundation” to provide skill development at the 19 Government Drug Rehabilitation Centres running in the state. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh and Member of Parliament (MP) S. Vikramjeet Singh Sahney, Chairman of the Sun Foundation, today here at Punjab Bhawan.
Underscoring his dedication to this critical cause, MP Vikramjeet Singh Sahney announced a contribution of Rs 1 crore from his MPLAD funds to bolster the drug rehabilitation centres. The foundation will also provide manpower and bear maintenance cost of the skill centres.
The Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh praised MP Sahney's contribution as a crucial step in the state's "Yudh Nasheyan Virudh" initiative, while conveying his appreciation to MP Sahney for his dedication in creating a drug-free Punjab.
Highlighting Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann's vision, Dr. Balbir Singh emphasised the government's focus on tackling the alarmingly high relapse rate of 80-90% by integrating robust skill development and engaging the drug victims with recreational activities at the rehabilitation centres. He also lauded the government's progressive decision to decriminalise drug abusers, treating them as patients in need of care.
Dr. Balbir Singh detailed the government's harm reduction strategy, which focuses on moving intravenous drug users to safer alternatives such as tablets and liquid methadone to combat the spread of HIV and Hepatitis C. He stated, "My vision is to transform drug addicts into entrepreneurs through targeted skill development," envisioning a "positive domino effect" where those rehabilitated become productive members of society.

MP Vikramjeet Singh Sahney, Chairman of the Sun Foundation, addressed the misrepresentation of Punjab as solely a drug-afflicted state, acknowledging the widespread nature of the problem across India, including states like Maharashtra and Gujarat. He affirmed his "heartfelt desire" to help Punjab overcome this challenge and announced the Sun Foundation's commitment to operating 19 drug rehabilitation centres. Notably, the Sun Foundation already successfully manages three such centres in Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Mohali.
MP Sahney said that Sun Foundation will implement recreational, motivational, and spiritual activities within the centres, emphasising games, yoga, music, Gurbani, television-equipped recreation rooms, and counselling. Furthermore, a strong focus will be placed on skilling individuals in areas such as organic farming, plumbing, electrical work, mobile repair, and cookery, empowering them to secure livelihoods post-treatment and reducing the risk of relapse.

In a significant step towards enhancing women's healthcare, Punjab Government has signed a a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yuvraj Singh YouWeCan Foundation to roll out a comprehensive breast cancer screening program in Moga district. The MoU was signed in the presence of Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh.
This collaborative effort, under the Swasth Mahila Swasth Bharat (SMSB) initiative, aims to tackle the alarming burden of breast cancer in the state through early detection, awareness, and timely access to care.
Citing alarming national statistics, Dr Balbir Singh stressed the urgency of the initiative. "Every four minutes, a woman in India is diagnosed with breast cancer, and every eight minutes, one loses her life to this disease. Punjab is determined to change this trajectory through proactive healthcare measures,” he said.
Emphasising the government's commitment to the program, the Health Minister affirmed, "Our partnership with the YouWeCan Foundation and the implementation of the SMSB program in Moga marks a significant milestone in our efforts to strengthen our non-communicable disease control framework. We are dedicated to ensuring that women in Moga have access to state-of-the-art screening technologies and timely care.”
The SMSB program of the YouWecan Foundation (CSR partner Xiaomi Technology India Private Limited) will leverage a multi-pronged approach which includes key components such as community awareness campaigns, training on self-breast examination, screening using the innovative iBE Device, referral linkages for diagnosis, a technology-driven monitoring system, and capacity building for healthcare workers.
Speaking about the impact of early detection, the Health Minister emphasised, "The data clearly shows that early detection dramatically improves survival rates and reduces treatment costs. It is unacceptable that 70% of breast cancer patients are diagnosed at advanced stages. Through this initiative, we aim to shift that paradigm in Moga, ensuring more women are diagnosed at earlier, more treatable stages.”
The Health Minister concluded with a strong message of hope and commitment, "By working together with the YouWeCan Foundation, we are confident that we can make a real difference in the lives of women in Moga. Our goal is to save lives, reduce the burden of late-stage diagnoses, and ultimately create a healthier future for all women in Punjab. This MoU is a testament to our unwavering commitment to women's health and well-being.”
Dr Balbir Singh said that the program will focus on establishing dedicated breast health screening services in Moga, integrating SMSB protocols into the state's existing NCD control programs, and ensuring healthcare providers are well-trained to handle breast cancer cases effectively. Collaboration with public health authorities and community awareness campaigns will be central to the initiative's success.
Meanwhile, two other MoUs were also signed on this occasion in the presence of Health Minister. The MoU includes Swasth Digital Health Foundation for establishment of Primary Care Innovation Unit under which Swasth Alliance will support the establishment of a Primary Care Innovation Unit within the Department of Health and Family Welfare through which innovative solutions can be piloted in the State.
Another MoU regarding palliative care with Cansupport organisation was signed, through which the organisation will support the Department of Health in the Implementation of State Palliative Care Policy in the state of Punjab.

ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਦਿਆਂ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਮੋਗਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਾਤੀ ਦੇ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸਕ੍ਰੀਨਿੰਗ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਯੁਵਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਯੂਵੀਕੈਨ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਸਹੀਬੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਭਲਾਈ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹੀਬੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸਵਸਥ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸਵਸਥ ਭਾਰਤ (ਐਸਐਮਐਸਬੀ) ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਤਹਿਤ ਇਸ ਭਾਈਵਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦਾ ਜਲਦ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ, ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਾਤੀ ਦੇ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦੀ ਚਿੰਤਾਜਨਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਚਿੰਤਾਜਨਕ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਅੰਕੜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਚਾਰ ਮਿੰਟਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਛਾਤੀ ਦੇ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਹੋਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਅੱਠ ਮਿੰਟਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਇਸ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਗੁਆ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਉਪਾਵਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਸ ਰੁਝਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਣ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਹੈ।"
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ, ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਯੂਵੀਕੈਨ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੀ ਭਾਈਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਗਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਸਐਮਐਸਬੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਗੈਰ-ਸੰਚਾਰੀ ਰੋਗ ਨਿਯੰਤਰਣ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਮੀਲ ਪੱਥਰ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੋਗਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਤਿ-ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਸਕ੍ਰੀਨਿੰਗ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਜਾਵੇ।"
ਯੂਵੀਕੈਨ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ (ਸੀਐਆਰ ਭਾਈਵਾਲ ਸ਼ੀਓਮੀ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਵੇਟ ਲਿਮਟਿਡ) ਦਾ ਐਸਐਮਐਸਬੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁ-ਪੱਖੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਉਠਾਏਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਕ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਮੁਹਿੰਮਾਂ, ਛਾਤੀ ਦੀ ਸਵੈ-ਜਾਂਚ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ, ਨਵੀਨਤਾਕਾਰੀ ਆਈਬੀਈ ਡਿਵਾਈਸ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਕ੍ਰੀਨਿੰਗ, ਡਾਇਗਨੌਸ ਲਈ ਰੈਫਰਲ ਲਿੰਕੇਜ, ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ-ਸੰਚਾਲਿਤ ਨਿਗਰਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ।
ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦਾ ਜਲਦ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੋਲਦਿਆਂ, ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਅੰਕੜੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦਾ ਜਲਦ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਬਚਾਅ ਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਲਾਗਤ ਘਟਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਅਸਵੀਕਾਰਨਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ 70 ਫ਼ੀਸਦ ਛਾਤੀ ਦੇ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦੇ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਐਡਵਾਂਸ ਸਟੇਜ 'ਤੇ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਸਾਡਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਮੋਗਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਰੁਝਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਣਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦਾ ਜਲਦ ਅਤੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਇਲਾਜਯੋਗ ਸਟੇਜ 'ਤੇ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।"
ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ "ਯੂਵੀਕੈਨ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਅਤੇ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਪਹਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਗਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਲ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇਗਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਬਚਾਉਣਾ, ਇਸ ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਸਿਰਜਣਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਅਟੁੱਟ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਮੋਗਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਾਤੀ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ, ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਐਨਸੀਡੀ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਸਐਮਐਸਬੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਟੋਕੋਲ ਨੂੰ ਏਕੀਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ 'ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦ੍ਰਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਤਾ ਛਾਤੀ ਦੇ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹਨ। ਜਨਤਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਕ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਮੁਹਿੰਮਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਸਮਝੌਤਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਵੀ ਦਸਤਖਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਸਮਝੌਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਇਮਰੀ ਕੇਅਰ ਇਨੋਵੇਸ਼ਨ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਲਈ ਸਵਾਸਥ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਹੈਲਥ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤਹਿਤ ਸਵਾਸਥ ਅਲਾਇੰਸ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਭਲਾਈ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਇਮਰੀ ਕੇਅਰ ਇਨੋਵੇਸ਼ਨ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਨਤਾਕਾਰੀ ਹੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੈਨਸਪੋਰਟ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਨਾਲ ਪੈਲੀਏਟਿਵ ਕੇਅਰ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਸਹੀਬੰਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਇਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਟੇਟ ਪੈਲੀਏਟਿਵ ਕੇਅਰ ਨੀਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਹਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰੇਗੀ।

ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਈਵਾਲ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਭਲਾਈ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁ-ਪੱਖੀ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਤਕ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ, ਸਖ਼ਤ ਲਾਗੂਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਤਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 80 ਫ਼ੀਸਦ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਲਿਆਂਦੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
ਇਸ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀਆਂ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਪਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ, ਸਬ-ਡਵੀਜ਼ਨਲ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ, ਸੀਐਚਸੀ, ਈਐਸਆਈ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੱਛਰਦਾਨੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਬੈੱਡ ਅਲਾਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ 881 ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਕਲੀਨਿਕਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਅਤੇ ਮਲੇਰੀਆ ਦੀ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਜਾਂਚ ਅਤੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗਾ।”
ਅੱਜ ਇੱਥੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਵਨ ਵਿਖੇ ਵੈਕਟਰ ਬੋਰਨ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਟੇਟ ਟਾਸਕ ਫੋਰਸ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ 'ਹਰ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਵਾਰ ਡੇਂਗੂ ‘ਤੇ ਵਾਰ' ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨੂੰ 1 ਮਈ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਡੇਂਗੂ, ਮਲੇਰੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਚਿਕਨਗੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਠੋਸ ਰਣਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਵੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਈਵਾਲ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੈਕਟਰ ਬੋਰਨ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਜਨਤਕ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਇੱਕ ਅਹਿਮ ਕਦਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ, ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੈਬਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਟੈਸਟਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ 600 ਰੁਪਏ ਤੱਕ ਸੀਮਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਫਾਇਤੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
ਸਿਹਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਦਿਆਂ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ 50,000 ਨਰਸਿੰਗ ਸਟਾਫ ਅਤੇ 50,000 ਪੈਰਾ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਟਾਫ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਛਰ ਦੇ ਲਾਰਵੇ ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰੀਡਰ ਚੈਕਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਟਾਫ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਰਵੇ, ਪ੍ਰਜਨਨ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਆਦਿ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਤਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਅਤੇ ਮਲੇਰੀਆ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਠੋਸ ਯਤਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
'ਹਰ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਵਾਰ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਤੇ ਵਾਰ' ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਇਸ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਜਿਸ ਤਹਿਤ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 50 ਫ਼ੀਸਦ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਦੇਖੀ ਗਈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਮੌਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 66 ਫ਼ੀਸਦ ਦੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਕਮੀ ਆਈ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਮਲੇਰੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਕੋਈ ਮੌਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।"
ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਉਪਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਕੈਂਪਾਂ ਲਗਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਕੈਂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵੈਕਟਰ ਬੋਰਨ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਦੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਕੂਲ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਸਕੂਲ ਅੰਦਰ, ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਪਖਾਨਿਆਂ, ਮਿਡ-ਡੇਅ ਮੀਲ ਰਸੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੈਂਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਸ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਵਿੰਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਚੈਨਲ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਆਸ਼ਾ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ, ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੈਨੀਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਈਵਾਲ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਹਤ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣਾ ਆਸਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇਗਾ।
ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਜਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੱਛਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਜਨਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਲੱਛਣ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਅਤੇ ਮਲੇਰੀਆ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ।
ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਪਹਿਲੂ ‘ਤੇ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਪਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਜਲ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਨੀਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸੂਬੇ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਖਰਾਬ ਰਿਵਰਸ ਓਸਮੋਸਿਸ (ਆਰਓ) ਸਿਸਟਮ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਠੀਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ। ਸਟੇਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਫਸਰ (ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਵੈਕਟਰ ਬੋਰਨ ਡਿਜ਼ੀਜ਼ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ) ਡਾ. ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵੈਕਟਰ-ਬੋਰਨ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਭਵਿੱਖੀ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੂਪ-ਰੇਖਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ।

Chandigarh, April 26:
Emphasising the need for coordinated efforts among all stakeholder departments, Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh on Saturday, unveiled a multi-pronged strategy combining public awareness, stricter enforcement, and enhanced healthcare readiness to bring down the dengue cases by 80 percent this year.
“Dedicated dengue beds with mosquito nets have been allocated in District Hospitals, Sub-divisional Hospitals, CHCs, ESI Hospitals and Medical Colleges, while, the testing and treatment for dengue and malaria will remain free of cost at all government health facilities, including 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics,” said the Health Minister, while revealing the government’s initiatives to control Dengue this season.
Presiding over a meeting of the State Task Force meeting on Vector Borne Diseases here at Punjab Bhawan, on Saturday, Dr Balbir Singh announced that 'Har Shukarvar Dengue Te Var' campaign, initiated by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, will be commenced from May 1 onwards.
He also stressed on the importance of robust strategies to control dengue, malaria, and chikungunya, while, directing all the stakeholder departments to amplify their efforts and launch a mass awareness drive to prevent these vector-borne diseases.
Highlighting a crucial step, Dr Balbir Singh announced that Dengue is a notifiable disease in Punjab and the price for dengue testing in private hospitals and laboratories has been capped at Rs 600 statewide, ensuring affordable access to this vital service.
Outlining the Health Department's preparedness, Dr Balbir Singh informed that 50,000 nursing staff and 50,000 paramedical staff have been trained as mosquito larvae breeder checker and they will further train the officials of the aligned departments to how to identify larvae, breeding spots etc.
During the meeting, Dr Balbir Singh also reviewed the ongoing activities of various departments in tackling the dengue. He instructed officials to make concerted efforts to control both dengue and malaria to safeguard public health.
Lauding the effectiveness of the 'Har Shukarvar Dengue Te Var' campaign, Dr Balbir Singh said, “This awareness campaign has yielded remarkable results last year, with dengue cases witnessed 50 percent reduction, while, dengue related deaths drastically reduced by 66 percent. Furthermore, no malaria-related deaths were reported in 2024.”
Expanding the preventive measures, the Health Minister disclosed that school children and teachers will be actively involved by organising special awareness camps in schools. These camps will focus on educating them about preventive steps against various vector-borne diseases. He also directed the School Education Department to eliminate stagnant water in school premises, particularly around toilets, mid-day meal kitchen, and overhead water tanks.
To ensure effective information dissemination, Dr Balbir Singh directed the Department officials to establish a clear communication channel utilising the services of Mass Education and Media wing. This will facilitate the flow of health-specific information to ASHA workers, Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committee members and other stakeholder departments, leading to better implementation of government initiatives.
Dr Balbir Singh appealed to the public to actively prevent mosquito breeding by not letting water stagnation in and around their homes. He also urged citizens to visit government hospitals immediately if they experience any symptoms and get tested for dengue and malaria.
Addressing another critical aspect, the Health Minister directed the officers of the Water Supply and Sanitation Department to promptly rectify any malfunctioning reverse osmosis (RO) systems across the state that have been installed for water purification. The State Program Officer (National Vector Borne Disease Control Program), Dr Arshdeep Kaur, presented an overview of the work undertaken to prevent vector-borne diseases and outlined the future plans of the Health Department.
The meeting was attended by key officials including Principal Secretary Health Kumar Rahul, Special Secretary Health-cum-MD NHM Ghanshyam Thori, Director Health and Family Welfare Dr Hitinder Kaur, Director Health Services (Family Welfare) Dr Jasminder, DRME Dr Avnish Kumar, and officers from the Rural Development and Panchayats, State Transport, Medical Education and Research, School Education, Labour, Water Supply & Sanitation, and Senior Regional Director Health and Family Welfare.
