ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਤਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੁਲਾਰਾ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ, ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਸ਼ਕਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਢੰਗ-ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਟੇਕਹੋਲਡਰ ਕੰਸਲਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ।

ਸਿਹਤ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟੋਰੇਟ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੱਜ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਭਲਾਈ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੀ ਵਰਚੁਅਲ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨੀਆਂ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਐਨ.ਜੀ.ਓਜ਼ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ।

ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਵਸੇਬਾ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਪਲਾਇਰਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਮੁੜਵਸੇਬਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ‘ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਈਵਾਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਸੂਬਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੇ 'ਰੰਗਲਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ' ਦੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਕਜੁੱਟ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਜਨਰਲ ਆਫ਼ ਪੁਲਿਸ (ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਡੀਜੀਪੀ) ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਅਫੇਅਰਜ਼ ਡਿਵੀਜ਼ਨ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਦਿਓ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਆਊਟਰੀਚ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਡਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਸ਼ਕਤ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। 

ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਡਾ. ਹਤਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਸਿਵਲ ਸਰਜਨਾਂ, ਮਨੋਰੋਗ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਛੁਡਾਊ ਸੇਵਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਏਕੀਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ। 

ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਅਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਟੇਟ ਮੈਂਟਲ ਹੈਲਥ ਆਫਿਸਰ ਡਾ. ਸੰਦੀਪ ਭੋਲਾ ਨੇ ਅਲਾਇੰਸ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਡਾ. ਮੰਜੂ ਬਾਂਸਲ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਨਾਲ ਕਿਸ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ 'ਤੇ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਪਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਵਸੇਬਾ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

CHANDIGARH, January 28:

In a major boost to Punjab's efforts to combat the drug menace as per directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, a Stakeholder Consultation was organised to discuss ways to empower women to contribute to the fight against drugs.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh chaired the workshop virtually, while, psychiatrists from each district, Punjab Police representatives, and various NGOs attended the workshop organised at Directorate of Health Services here on Tuesday.

Dr Balbir Singh emphasized the importance of women's involvement in fighting drug abuse. "Women can play a vital role in supporting family members affected by drug abuse and helping them access rehabilitation services," he said.

He further stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government has been taking strong action against drug peddlers and suppliers. He stressed the importance of rehabilitation programs to prevent youth from falling prey to drugs.

Dr Balbir Singh concluded by urging all stakeholders to work together to make Punjab a drug-free state and realize Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s vision of a ‘Rangla Punjab.’

Special Director General of Police (Special DGP) Community Affairs Division Gurpreet Kaur Deo announced that Punjab Police would launch an outreach program to engage with women and encourage them to support the fight against drugs. "We believe that women can be a powerful force in combating the drug menace, and we want to empower them to take on this role," she said.  

Director of Health Services Dr Hitinder Kaur directed Civil Surgeons, Psychiatrists, and drug de-addiction service providers to prioritize integrated health services and ensure that women are involved in the process.

sistant Director and State Mental Health Officer, along with Dr Manju Bansal and Kunal Kishore from Alliance India, highlighted the need for women's participation in the fight against drugs. "Women can provide critical support to individuals affected by drug abuse and help them access rehabilitation services," he said.

ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸਿਵਲ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਵਲ ਸਰਜਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸੁਪਰਡੈਂਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਚ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨਿਕ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸਿਹਤ ਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਭਲਾਈ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਰਾਹੁਲ, ਸਕੱਤਰ ਲੋਕ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿਭਾਗ (ਪੀ.ਡਬਲਯੂ.ਡੀ.) ਰਵੀ ਭਗਤ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਹੈਲਥ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਸ਼ਨ (ਪੀ.ਐਚ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ.) ਦੇ ਮੈਨੇਜਿੰਗ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਸੀ.ਐਮ.ਡੀ. ਪੀਐਸਪੀਸੀਐਲ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰ ਬਲਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਰਾਂ, ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਸਿਹਤ ਡਾ. ਹਿਤਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਖੋਜ ਤੇ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਡਾ. ਅਵਨੀਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।

ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਬੰਦ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਇਕਾਈਆਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਥੀਏਟਰ, ਲੇਬਰ ਰੂਮ, ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ, ਐਸਐਨਸੀਯੂਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਐਨਆਈਸੀਯੂਜ਼ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ, ਵਿੱਚ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ 30 ਮਿੰਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਯੂਪੀਐਸ ਪਾਵਰ ਬੈਕਅੱਪ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਿਹਤ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਦੀ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲ ਜਨਰੇਟਰ ਸੈੱਟ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ, ਸਬ-ਡਿਵੀਜ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਲਾਕ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੱਧਰਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਕਮੇਟੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਗਠਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ।

ਉਕਤ ਕਮੇਟੀਆਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਹਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ/ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪੀਐਸਪੀਸੀਐਲ, ਅਤੇ ਪੀਡਬਲਿਊਡੀ-ਇਲੈਕਟ੍ਰੀਕਲ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਿਹਤ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਨਿਰਵਿਘਨ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ। ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਿਹਤ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਵਿਖੇ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਯੂਪੀਐਸ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਵਰ ਬੈਕਅੱਪ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਦੇਣਗੇ। 

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਮੇਟੀਆਂ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੇਂ-ਸਮੇਂ ‘ਤੇ ਦੌਰਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਗੀਆਂ ਕਿ ਉਥੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਬੈਕਅੱਪ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲ ਜਰਨੇਟਰ ਸੈੱਟ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ। 

ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਵਲ ਸਰਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਕੱਟ ਲੱਗਣ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਕਅੱਪ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਦਿੱਕਤ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਬੈਕਅੱਪ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਚਾਲੂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਲਈ ਢੁਕਵੀਂ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਵੀ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਬੰਦ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਪਰੋਕਤ ਕਮੇਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਟਸਐਪ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਵੀ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ।

ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੌਰੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਫਾਇਰ ਸੇਫਟੀ ਆਡਿਟ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਇਕਾਈਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗ ਬੁਝਾਊ ਉਪਕਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਲਬਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ।

CHANDIGARH, January 27: 

Following the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to ensure uninterrupted power supply at Government Healthcare Facilities, Punjab Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education and Research Minister Dr Balbir Singh on Monday, ordered power supply and fire safety audit at all the Medical Colleges, Civil Hospitals, Sub-Divisional Hospitals and Block level Hospitals across the state.

The Health Minister was addressing a high-level meeting with all the Civil Surgeons of Civil Hospitals and Medical Superintendents of Medical Colleges. Administrative Secretary Health and Family Welfare Kumar Rahul, Secretary Public Works Department (PWD) Ravi Bhagat, Managing Director Punjab Health System Corporation (PHSC) Varinder Kumar Sharma, CMD PSPCL Er Baldev Singh Sran, Director Health Dr Hitinder Kaur and Director Research and Medical Education Dr Avnish Kumar also attended the meeting.

As per the directions issued by the Health Minister, all critical care units, including operation theatres, labor rooms, emergencies, SNCUs, and NICUs, must have UPS-based power backup for at least 30 minutes in case of a power outage. Additionally, a fully functional generator set with an adequate supply of diesel must be present at all healthcare facilities.

Dr. Balbir Singh has also ordered that the constitution of committees at all levels including District, Sub-Division and Block level Hospitals. 

The committee, which will comprise representatives from the Health Department/Medical College, PSPCL, and PWD-Electrical, will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted power supply at all health facilities. The committee members will coordinate with each other and provide reports on the functionality status of UPS and other power backup systems available at the health facility level.  

“These committees will make frequent visits at their respective hospitals to ensure that there is availability of power backup and fully functional Genset,” he said.

The Health Minister has directed all Civil Surgeons to ensure that backup power supply should start immediately in case of a power cut, so that critical services are not hampered. Effective communication linkage must also be established with the person responsible for switching on the backup power supply to ensure prompt action, he added. 

He also ordered to create a Whatsapp group comprising all the members of the above committees to ensure prompt response in case of any power outage situations.

The Health Minister also directed the concerned officers to immediately conduct Fire Safety Audit and ensure availability of fire extinguishers, especially, at all critical care units.
