PUNJAB’S ‘AAM AADMI CLINIC’ MODEL WINS GLOBAL PRAISE, AUSTRALIAN DELEGATION SEEKS TO REPLICATE IN AUSTRALIA

Chandigarh, April 25: 

In yet another testament to the transformative vision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab Government for strengthening and transforming primary health care in the state, Aam Aadmi Clinics (AAC) have garnered international recognition, with a high-level 14-member Australian delegation expressing keen interest in adopting the model back home. 

The delegation, led by Member of Parliament (MP) State of Victoria Dylon Wight (Delegation Leader) and MP State of Victoria Mathew Hilakari, visited the primary healthcare facility— Aam Aadmi Clinic and the tertiary healthcare facility— Punjab Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (PILBS) in Mohali on Friday.

Later, the delegation held a meeting with Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh where they exchanged ideas on healthcare and agriculture. Administrative Secretary Health and Family Welfare Kumar Rahul, Special Secretary Agriculture Baldeep Kaur and Director PILBS Dr Virendra Singh also attended the meeting.

The Australian representatives were particularly impressed by the Aam Aadmi Clinic model, which offers free primary healthcare services, including 80 essential medicines and 38 diagnostics, close to people’s homes.

Dr Balbir Singh, while addressing the media, said that the delegation has lauded the efforts of state in providing affordable, accessible, and quality healthcare to its citizens. “The delegation was amazed to see that by 11 AM, over 60 patients had already availed services at the Aam Aadmi Clinic. They were so impressed that they want to take this model back to Australia, believing it could greatly benefit their healthcare system.”  

The Health Minister said that the delegation also appreciated Punjab’s tertiary healthcare facility, PILBS, for providing cost-effective advanced treatment to patients. The delegates were keen on learning from Punjab’s healthcare reforms, especially the efficient last-mile delivery of medical services.

The discussions also extended to agriculture and environmental sustainability, with both sides exploring potential collaborations. “Australia shares similar climatic conditions and crop patterns with Punjab. They showed great interest in our millets and organic farming practices. We discussed how both regions can learn from each other to boost agricultural productivity while conserving water and reducing pollution,” said Dr Balbir Singh.  

The Health Minister said that Punjab is looking forward to launch exchange programs with Australia, where experts from Punjab will visit Australia for training, and Australian professionals will come to Punjab to study its healthcare and agricultural models.

Meanwhile, this acknowledgment from an international delegation follows the recent global recognition received by Aam Aadmi Clinics at the Global Health Supply Chain Summit held in Nairobi in 2023, where Punjab had received first prize for its submission titled “Strengthening last mile delivery of drugs: A case study from Punjab”.

CHANDIGARH/PATIALA, April 23:

In a powerful push to the ongoing anti-drugs campaign ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ launched by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh on Wednesday called upon children to become ambassadors in the state’s intensified battle against drugs, announcing that those championing anti-drug efforts will be honoured by the state government at both district and state levels.

The declaration came as the Health Minister flagged off a massive ‘War Against Drugs’ marathon, organised by the Patiala District Administration under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Dr Preeti Yadav and SSP Dr Nanak Singh, at Polo Ground this morning.

Calling children as the “Real Heroes” of this battle, Dr Balbir Singh urged them not only to stay away from drugs themselves but also to spread awareness among their peers about the harmful effects of substance abuse.

Addressing a gathering of more than 10,000 participants comprising students, teachers, social workers, and residents, the Health Minister emphasised Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s vision of a “Rangla Punjab”. He said the state government has been working to transform Punjab into a hub of sports and education by building playgrounds and libraries in every village under the Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan initiative.

“Our national icons, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Baba Saheb Dr BR Ambedkar, and Lal Bahadur Shastri, drew strength from education and national awareness. Today, we remember them with pride,” said Dr Balbir Singh, while urging students to follow their footsteps. “Our students are our heroes, they must pledge to never fall prey to addiction and become role models for others,” he added.

Quoting Albert Einstein and Elon Musk, he said that drugs are shackles that hinder progress, whereas education lights the path forward. “The children of Punjab must walk the path of knowledge and become beacons in the fight against drugs. The government will recognise and honour such students,” he added.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Preeti Yadav welcomed all participants and expressed hope that the enthusiastic participation of Patiala’s youth would lead the district toward becoming drug-free. SSP Dr Nanak Singh extended gratitude to the people of Patiala for their continued support to the Punjab Police in this critical mission.

An anti-drug oath was also administered during the event, and National Theatre Arts Society (NTAS), under the leadership of Padma Shri Pran Sabharwal, performed a powerful play against drug abuse.

The marathon witnessed participation from Municipal Corporation Mayor Kundan Gogia, Deputy Mayor Jagdeep Singh Jagga, Jasbir Singh Gandhi, Balwinder Saini, ADC Navreet Kaur Sekhon, SP Palwinder Singh Cheema, Joint Commissioner Deepjot Kaur, and officials from various departments. Several NGOs and local residents also joined in large numbers.

The route of the marathon, organised in collaboration with the police, education, health, and sports departments, commenced from Polo Ground and passing through YPS Chowk, Thikriwal, Fuhara Chowk, Leela Bhawan, Baradari, Sheranwala Gate, and Phul Cinema, concluded back at Polo Ground via Modi College Chowk.

Chandigarh,  22nd  April:

The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab, in collaboration with the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), here today convened a high-level State Action Plan Workshop on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in Chandigarh. This pivotal event marks a significant leap forward in the development of Punjab’s State Action Plan for the Containment of AMR (PB-SAPCAR), a crucial initiative aligned with India's national strategy to combat this growing global health threat.

The workshop was inaugurated by Ghanshyam Thori, Special Secretary Health and Mission Director NHM, Punjab, who underscored the urgent need for a unified, multi-sectoral "one health" approach to tackle AMR. He emphasized the workshop's role in fostering collaboration across human health, animal health, environmental agencies, and regulatory bodies to forge a robust and effective response.

Ghanshyam Thori highlighted Punjab’s strong commitment towards addressing the escalating threat of AMR. He  highlighted the state’s proactiveness and collaborative approach to public health policymaking, setting a potential benchmark for other states in India.

The participants gained valuable insight from national experts, including Dr. Lata Kapur, AMR Nodal Officer at NCDC, who elucidated the national AMR strategy. Dr. Aravind R from Kerala shared invaluable best practices in implementing successful state-level AMR frameworks. The workshop also benefited from the active participation of representatives from the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying and leading public health figures from across the nation.

A distinguished panel of experts, comprising heads of medical institutions, public health specialists, digital health leaders, and academicians, engaged in a dynamic discussion on innovative AMR containment strategies, expertly moderated by Dr. Parvinder Chawla from Fortis Hospital, Mohali.

The core of the workshop involved a focused group activity centered on four key sectors: Regulation and Administration, Human Health, Animal Health, and Environmental Health. Through a comprehensive SWOT analysis, each group identified three priority action areas, concentrating on critical aspects such as surveillance, promoting rational antimicrobial use, strengthening infection prevention and control measures, enhancing laboratory capabilities, fostering research, and establishing effective governance structures.

The workshop culminated in presentations from each group, outlining their key findings and proposed actions. A vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Rohini Goyal (Deputy Director) and Dr. Manju Bansal, along with the Governance Fellow Srijita Chakrabarti and Intern NHM Dr. Neha Chaudhary, all of whom are integral to the drafting process of the PB-SAPCAR.

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਭਲਾਈ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਰੋਗ ਨਿਯੰਤਰਣ ਕੇਂਦਰ (ਐਨਸੀਡੀਸੀ) ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਜ ਹੋਟਲ ਮਾਊਂਟ ਵਿਊ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿਖੇ ਐਂਟੀਮਾਈਕਰੋਬੀਅਲ ਰੇਜ਼ਿਸਟੈਂਸ ਦੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ (ਏਐਮਆਰ) ਬਾਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਾਰਜ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਚ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਘਨਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਥੋਰੀ, ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸਿਹਤ ਕਮ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ-ਐਨਐਚਐਮ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਘਨਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਥੋਰੀ ਨੇ ਏਐਮਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਏਕੀਕ੍ਰਿਤ, ਬਹੁ-ਖੇਤਰੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਿਹਤ, ਪਸ਼ੂ ਸਿਹਤ, ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਰੈਗੂਲੇਟਰੀ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ​​ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ  ਸਾਂਝ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਘਨਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਥੋਰੀ ਨੇ ਏਐਮਆਰ ਦੇ ਵਧਦੇ ਖਤਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਨਤਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਨੀਤੀ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਲਈ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਮਾਪਦੰਡ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਨਸੀਡੀਸੀ ਦੇ ਏਐਮਆਰ ਨੋਡਲ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਡਾ. ਲਤਾ ਕਪੂਰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਏਐਮਆਰ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਕੇਰਲਾ ਤੋਂ ਡਾ. ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਆਰ ਨੇ ਸਫਲ ਰਾਜ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਏਐਮਆਰ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨਮੋਲ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਪਾਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਡੇਅਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਜਨ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਰਹੀ।

ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ, ਜਨ ਸਿਹਤ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ, ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਸਿਹਤ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਵਿਦਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਪੈਨਲ ਨੇ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਏਐਮਆਰ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਰਣਨੀਤੀਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਗਤੀਸ਼ੀਲ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਫੋਰਟਿਸ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ, ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਡਾ. ਪਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਚਾਵਲਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਆਈਓਸੀਐਲ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਸੰਗਰੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਲੇਰਕੋਟਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾਇਗਨੌਸਟਿਕ ਸਮਰੱਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨਗੀਆਂ।

ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਜਲਦ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ 2020-21 ਦੇ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ 2.8:1 ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਵਲੈਂਸ-ਨੋਟੀਫੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਨੁਪਾਤ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸਕ੍ਰੀਨਿੰਗ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ 40 ਫੀਸਦ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਨੋਟੀਫਾਈ ਕੇਸ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਲੱਛਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਐਕਸ-ਰੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਇਸ ਡਾਇਗਨੌਸਟਿਕ ਸਾਧਨ ਦੀ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੰਚਿਤ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਤੱਕ ਪੁਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਸਥਿਰ ਐਕਸ-ਰੇ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੀਮਤ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈਂਡਹੈਲਡ ਐਕਸ-ਰੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਨਵੀਨਤਾਕਾਰੀ ਹੱਲ ਅਪਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ।

ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਘੱਟ ਭਾਰ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਆਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੋਟੀਆਂ ਇਹ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ 100 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਬੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਈਆਂ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਭਗ 1.49 ਲੱਖ ਐਕਸ-ਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਆਈਓਸੀਐਲ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਦੋ ਫਲੋਰੋਸੈਂਟ ਮਾਈਕ੍ਰੋਸਕੋਪ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਹੈਂਡਹੈਲਡ ਯੂਨਿਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਗਰੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਲੇਰਕੋਟਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੀ.ਬੀ. ਦੇ ਰੋਗ ਦਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ।

ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ‘ਚੋਂ ਟੀਬੀ ਦੇ ਖਾਤਮੇ ਦੇ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਝੰਡੀ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਆਈਓਸੀਐਲ ਅਤੇ ਪੀਪਲ-ਟੂ-ਪੀਪਲ ਹੈਲਥ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਡਮੁਲੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਲਈ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹ ਹੈਂਡਹੈਲਡ ਐਕਸ-ਰੇ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਟੀਬੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਵਾਧੇ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਘੱਟ ਭਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ-ਦੁਰਾਡੇ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ, ਫੈਕਟਰੀਆਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਕੰਮਕਾਜ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਬਿਰਧ ਆਸ਼ਰਮਾਂ, ਅਨਾਥ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਆਦਿ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣਾ ਸੌਖਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਟੀਬੀ ਦੇ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਲਦ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਇਲਾਜ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾ ਕੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਟੀਬੀ ਸੰਕਟ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਜਨਤਕ-ਨਿੱਜੀ ਭਾਈਵਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਜਨਤਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਆਈਓਸੀਐਲ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਸੰਗਰੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਲੇਰਕੋਟਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੂਬਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਟੀਬੀ ਖਾਤਮੇ ਦੇ ਟੀਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕਰ ਸਕੇਗਾ। ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਡਬਲਯੂਐਚਓ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਿਫ਼ਾਰਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਐਕਸ-ਰੇ ਡਾਇਗਨੌਸਟਿਕਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਰਟੀਫੀਸ਼ੀਅਲ ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਜਲਦ ਅਤੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਸਹੀ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ।

Chandigarh, April 15:

In a major stride toward its goal of eliminating tuberculosis (TB) as desired by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh flagged off an advanced van equipped with handheld X-ray machine and fluorescent microscope from Directorate of Health and Family Welfare here on Tuesday.

Notably, the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, in collaboration with the People-to-People Health Foundation has donated two handheld X-ray machines and two fluorescent microscopes to the Punjab Health Department.

While expressing gratitude to the IOCL, Dr Balbir Singh said that these machines will strengthen diagnostic capabilities in Sangrur and Malerkotla districts.

Underlining the need of early detection, Dr Balbir Singh said that, in Punjab, the 2020-21 survey revealed a prevalence-notification ratio of 2.8:1, underscoring the critical need for enhanced screening efforts. Notably, the survey also found that over 40% of notified cases were asymptomatic and detected through X-ray findings, emphasizing the vital role of this diagnostic tool.

Recognizing the limitations of traditional fixed X-ray machines in reaching underserved populations, Punjab has embraced innovative solutions like handheld X-ray technology. 

Highlighting the importance of these machines the Health Minister said that these compact and portable devices proved their effectiveness during the recent 100-day intensified TB campaign, where approximately 1.49 lakh X-rays were conducted in the field. The addition of these two new handheld units, alongside two fluorescent microscopes also provided by IOCL, will empower healthcare workers in Sangrur and Malerkotla to conduct wider screenings and facilitate early diagnosis and treatment initiation among vulnerable communities.

"We are immensely grateful to IOCL and the People-to-People Health Foundation for their invaluable support in our mission to eliminate TB from Punjab," said Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh during the flagging-off ceremony. "These handheld X-ray machines represent a significant leap forward in our diagnostic capacity. Their portability will allow us to reach individuals in remote areas, work places like factories and congregation settings like old age homes, orphanages etc ensuring that more cases are detected early, leading to better treatment outcomes and ultimately saving lives.”

The Health Minister emphasised the importance of public-private partnerships in tackling the TB crisis and lauded IOCL's commitment to this crucial public health issue. He expressed confidence that these new resources would be effectively utilized to screen a larger population in Sangrur and Malerkotla, bringing the state closer to its TB elimination goals. The Health Minister also acknowledged the potential of Artificial Intelligence in augmenting X-ray diagnostics, as recommended by the WHO, for faster and more accurate results.

ਨਸ਼ਾ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਭਰੇ ਮੁੜ ਵਸੇਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ-ਮੰਗ ਚੱਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਨ ਲਈ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਅਟੁੱਟ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਦਹੁਰਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ  ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਇਲਾਜ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ 'ਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜੋ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਹਨ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹਾਰਮ ਰੀਡੱਕਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਜੋਂ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਲਦ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਰਲ ਮੈਥਾਡੋਨ ਦੀ ਖੁਰਾਕ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਧਾਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। 

ਨਸ਼ਾ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਪੂਰਨ ਦੱਸਦਿਆਂ, ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ, ਡਾਕਟਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਟੀਕੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਮੂੰਹ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਬੀਪੀਐਨਐਕਸ (ਬਿਊਪ੍ਰੇਨੋਰਫਾਈਨ + ਨੈਲੋਕਸੋਨ) ਜਾਂ ਤਰਲ ਮੈਥਾਡੋਨ ਦੀ ਖੁਰਾਕ ਜਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਨਸ਼ਾ ਛੁਡਾਊ ਇਲਾਜ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਅਸੀਂ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਵਸੇਬਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਾਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਧਾਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਹੁਨਰ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕੋਰਸ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।" ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗੀ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਉਤਪਤੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੁੜ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਟਿਗਮਾ ਰੀਡੱਕਸ਼ਨ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਐਨਜੀਓਜ਼ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਨਸ਼ਾ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਅਪਰਾਧ ਨਹੀਂ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨਜਨਕ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਧਾਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹੁਨਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।" ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੁੜ ਵਸੇਬਾ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਕ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਸਤਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਈਵਾਲੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਰੱਖਿਆ।

ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਫੀਆ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਡੇਟਾ ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ 'ਤੇ ਵੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜੋ ਖਾਸ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਰਣਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸੈਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀਅਰ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਇਨੀਸ਼ੀਏਟਿਵ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਡਲ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਛੁਡਾਊ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਆਦਿ ਸਮੇਤ ਹੋਰ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਉਪਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਪੜਚੋਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਐਨਜੀਓਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੇ 'ਰੰਗਲਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ' ਦੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਸੂਬਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ।

ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਐਲਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਹੋਮਿਓਪੈਥੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਮਿਊਂਸੀਪਲ ਭਵਨ ਵਿਖੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਰਾਜ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਹੋਮਿਓਪੈਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਹੋਮਿਓਪੈਥਿਕ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਦਵਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਈ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਸ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਉਠਾਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਗਈ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਾਲਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਮਿਓਪੈਥਿਕ ਇਲਾਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਲਈ ਮੁੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

ਹੋਮਿਓਪੈਥੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪੋਸਟ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਪਗ੍ਰੇਡ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਕੋਣ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੋਮਿਓਪੈਥੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਾਲੀ ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਭਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਮਿਓਪੈਥੀ ਮਾਹਿਰ ਡਾ. ਏ.ਐਸ. ਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਅਵਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਮਿਓਪੈਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਡਾਕਟਰੀ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਫਲਤਾਵਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ।

CHANDIGARH, April 15: 

In yet another decisive move to eliminate drug addiction from the state amidst the ongoing anti-drugs campaign ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ launched by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh on Tuesday unveiled a five-pillar action plan to during a high-level consultative and collaborative meeting with Non-Government Organisations (NGOs). This strategy marks a paradigm shift in the state’s approach to combating drug abuse through Supply Reduction, Demand Reduction, Harm Reduction and Stigma Reduction.

Declaring an end to Punjab’s decades-old "political-police-criminal nexus”, Dr Singh asserted, ”The missing piece—political will—is now in place. With CM Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership and your grassroots power, we will create a ‘Rangla Punjab’.”

Over 30 NGOs including Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Society for the Promotion of Youth & Masses (SPYM), Ananya Birla Foundation, Kalgidhar Trust Baru Sahib, Hans Foundation, Sun Foundation, etc. from across the country and experts from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi, PGI Chandigarh, Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) participated in the meeting, which took place at Punjab Bhawan here.

Emphasising the government’s unwavering commitment to breaking the supply-demand cycle of drugs while ensuring compassionate rehabilitation for affected individuals, the Health Minister stressed on the need to prevent upcoming generation— kids and students— to fall prey to drug menace, while, focusing on ensuring treatment those those, who are already got addicted. 

He said that as part of harm-reduction, Punjab Government is soon going to introduce dose of liquid methadone in all the Medical colleges, which has proven very effective way to bring drug addicts into mainstream.

Terming treatment of drug addicts as a challenging part, Dr Balbir Singh said that to cope up with this, doctors will put the drug addict oral drugs including BPNx (buprenorphine+Naloxone) or liquid methadone dose or any other method to stop him from using injectable drugs. “After de-addiction treatment, we will move the patient to rehabilitation centre and provide him skill development course to bring him into the mainstream,” he said, while adding that they will also rope in employment generation department to provide the patient a good job to avert the chances of relapse.

The Minister also solicited support of NGOs to amplify efforts in relapse prevention and stigma reduction, stressing, “Addiction is a disease, not a crime. We must approach victims with empathy and equip them with skills for dignified reintegration.” He also proposed partnerships with religious organisations to expand rehab centres and community support groups.

Dr Balbir Singh also stressed on the need to establish a data intelligence unit for better synergy and intelligence sharing between police and health department, which will help in ascertaining prevalence of drugs in particular areas to make treatment strategies accordingly. The different sessions during the meeting also explored other preventive interventions including Peer Leadership Initiatives and Model De-addiction centres, etc.

He exhorted all the NGOs to come forward to make Punjab a drug-free state to realise the vision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann of ‘Rangla Punjab’.

CHANDIGARH, April 9: 

In a move aimed at preserving and promoting homeopathy as desired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh, on the occasion of World Homeopathy Day, announced the establishment of a Government Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana district. The World Homeopathy Day is celebrated to honour the birth anniversary of Dr Samuel Hahnemann, the father of homeopathy, on April 10.

The announcement was made during a state-level event organised by the Punjab Homeopathy Department at Municipal Bhawan here.

While emphasising the importance of preserving and promoting homeopathy, Dr Balbir Singh called upon homeopathic doctors and experts to take the lead in safeguarding this traditional system of medicine.

"This college will serve as a mother institution to propagate homeopathic treatment across Punjab," said the Health Minister, while acknowledging the pivotal role played by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann in batting for the college during his tenure as a Lok Sabha Member of Parliament.

While assuring the every possible support to the Homeopathy Department, the Health Minister expressed his vision to upgrade the college into a postgraduate institution in the future, besides filling vacant posts in Homeopathy department and providing financial assistance to further strengthen infrastructure.

On the occasion, renowned homeopathy experts Dr AS Mann and Dr Avtar Singh also shared insights on new medical initiatives and breakthroughs in homeopathy.

Pertinently, these initiatives will position the Homeopathy Department for a more prominent role in providing healthcare services by encompassing a multi-pronged approach to ensure its growth and effectiveness. 

Prominent attendees of the event included Principal Secretary Health Kumar Rahul, AYUSH Commissioner Dilraj Singh, Punjab Homeopathic Council Chairman Dr TP Singh,  Director of Ayurveda Dr Ravi Kumar Dumra and District Homeopathic Officers (DHOs), Homeopathic Medical Officers (HMOs), and other departmental staff from across the state. The program was organized under the supervision of Director of the Punjab Homeopathy Department Dr. Harinder Pal Singh.
